It’s been a busy few days for the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Nirve Sport, a cruiser brand, has been purchased by Jamis as Interbike begins on Wednesday. Even though Jamis and Nirve are aiming to merge their sales and back-office teams, Nirve will continue to be based in Southern California and will not be relocated.
Are Nirve bikes worth the money?
Our Beach bikes have a lot of the same features as our other models, but with a few added upgrades and style points. In addition to being easy to pedal, comfortable, and a lot of fun to ride, our Beach and Boardwalk bikes are lovely to look at.
While Nirve will remain in Southern California, it will relocate to Jamis’ western warehouse location in Costa Mesa from its present Huntington Beach location, which is just 15 minutes away.
Nirve’s online sales and licencing deals with Coke, Hello Kitty, Paul Frank, and others will be terminated by Joannou. Amazon, big box stores, and sports goods stores will no longer carry Nirve.
As a result of its licencing deals, Nirve was able to successfully expose its brand to audiences outside of conventional cyclists. Nirve will continue to be offered only through bicycle dealers in the future, according to Joannou.
